The AskMyAdvisor® Method (Open Source)

A Standard for Trusted Advisors

The AskMyAdvisor® Method is open source.

Any advisor, firm, or organization can study, share, and apply the Method freely. We teach it how to implement it the DIY way or DFY (software) way in 10 minutes.

Our software, the AskMyAdvisor® OS, is the only software system that runs the Method on autopilot.

What is the Method?

"Delays are the real killer of Referrals."
Referrals stall because of confusion.
Clients want to help, but they hesitate. What number to use, who calls who, will an email get lost in the inbox, is the advisor taking referrals and the list goes on and on.

The AskMyAdvisor® Method removes all confusion that leads to delay.

One Direct Path™. One link. One action.
No confusion. No delay.

Why Open Source?

  • To expand the standard.

  • To eliminate referral confusion everywhere.

  • To build trust and transparency in the advisor, client world.

When everyone speaks the language of the Method, trusted advisors win.

How to Use It

  1. Read the framework.

  2. Apply it with your top 20% relationships.

  3. Choose the DIY (free) or DFY (software) path.

  4. When you are ready for automation, the OS runs it for you.

Protections (The Tesla Clause)

This open source release is a good-faith invitation to use the Method, not a loophole for misuse.

  • Allowed: Study it, teach it, apply it, and share it widely.

  • Not Allowed: Misrepresenting, diluting, or falsely claiming ownership of the Method or its trademarks.

  • Protected: The AskMyAdvisor® OS, platform, and all software remain fully proprietary.

As Elon Musk wrote when Tesla opened its patents: “We will not initiate patent lawsuits against anyone who, in good faith, wants to use our technology.”

We take the same stance here: use the Method in good faith, and you’re welcome.
